Main Applications

Semiconductor Industry

Due to its high purity, low extractables, and excellent chemical stability and mechanical properties, high-purity grade PFA - SH series (including AP - 231SH) has minimal fluoride ion and particulate release, making it widely used in semiconductor manufacturing production lines. It is primarily used to fabricate silicon wafer carriers, pipelines and their fittings, and semiconductor components. For example, it is extensively applied in high-purity gas delivery pipelines and high-purity chemical reagent delivery pipelines in semiconductor plants.

Chemical Industry

• Pipelines and Fittings: Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, it is chosen as a key material for pipelines and fittings handling corrosive chemicals. PFA is used to manufacture straight pipes, pipe joints, bushings, baffles, and pipeline linings. The wall thickness of PFA pipe fittings can be as thin as 2.38mm, with a minimum lining thickness of 1.27mm. PFA-lined straight pipes are available in diameters ranging from 15 to 250mm, with a maximum length of 5m.
• Container Linings: As a corrosion-resistant lining for containers, it ensures long-term stable operation. It can be applied to large-capacity storage tanks and high-purity reagent containers through composite fabric linings or rotational molding methods. Some typical applications include the construction of gas scrubbers, reactors, and containment vessels.
• Laboratory Ware: PFA products for the chemical industry include laboratory ware such as beakers, flasks, and wash bottles.

Electronics and Telecommunications

Due to its excellent electrical properties, it is widely used in wire products for telecommunications and other fields, such as high-frequency cables. Additionally, owing to its outstanding mechanical strength at high temperatures, it can also be used to manufacture tubes, connectors, and other electronic equipment accessories.

Other Fields

It finds applications in high-temperature environments such as oil and gas extraction, papermaking, and textiles, as well as in industries requiring long-term operation under high temperatures and extreme chemical conditions, such as pharmaceuticals and food processing. Furthermore, it is used in copier guide roller sleeves, high-temperature-resistant wires, corrosion-resistant components, liquid conduits, and heat-shrink tubing.
